Joe Giardino, PhD

Joe Giardino, Ph.D., is a bilingual psychologist with 10 years of experience in the field of mental health. He has worked in a range of clinical settings, including primary care, women’s health, veteran’s health, inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, and private practice. He also has worked in major hospitals, such as Montefiore Medical Center, James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Penn Medical Center, and the National Institute of Perinatology (Mexico City). 

Dr. Giardino received his master’s from the University of Pennsylvania and his doctorate from Fordham University. He has received advanced training in pain-related disorders, traumatic injuries, and neuropsychological assessment. 

Dr. Giardino provides psychotherapy in English and Spanish for a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, identity issues, trauma and loss, and family and relationship problems. He is versed in a range of psychodynamic theory (i.e., classical, object relations, and interpersonal/relational).

In addition to private practice, Dr. Giardino is active in research and teaching. His work has been published in journals such as the International Journal of Men's Health. He is an adjunct faculty member in Fordham University's Clinical Psychology program and is the Founder of Top Tier Editing LLC, a scientific editing company.
